We’ve always had a policy against organizational posts, and advertisements, and various things like that on the LW frontpage. One of the reasons is that I don’t want people to think of LessWrong as a super high-trust place where there exist LW-affiliated organizations that the ingroup works at, the way people routinely talk about “EA organizations”. I think the right place for job postings are top-level posts for people who have opted into personal blogposts, shortforms and the Open Thread.
I don’t think so. Most EAs are not rats (and this is an extremely good thing!!!) but this means 80k is not the place to filter for LWer types when that is what you’re looking for
