Oh as someone with high myopia myself, yeah I’ve seen that too. I guess it’s not quite right to say never see it in everyday life. But for the point intended in the post I think it’s reasonable.
high-index has nothing to do with this (since this applies to all colors), just considering lens material, dispersion/abbe value is the important factor in chromatic aberration distance. another factor is distance of lens to retina

Oh interesting, didn’t know that. Doing some quick googling, you can reduce the effect depending on the material used for your glasses at least?
Even high-index glasses give some of it. But contact lenses don’t.
