Ukraine does use AI in their drones, mainly it looks like the mechanism is human pilots drone nearby to the enemy position using an optical connection, selects targets with help from computer vision camo-detection systems, then the optical connection may disconnect and the drone uses more computer vision and probably some simple control algorithm to autonymously flies to the selected targets and explode.
I don’t understand how human-piloted drones (the ones in use today, and almost certainly for early terrorist use) have anything to do with AI.
