The illustrations aren’t coming through in this formatting for me. I’m on Chrome. They show as tiny thumbnails. Also the Chapter 8 title is an LLM error.
More specifically, the issue is that the img srcset attribute contains unescaped commas, causing the URLs to be broken. Deleting the srcset attributes fixes the image, or replacing all the f_auto, q_auto bits in the srcset with f_auto%2cq_auto fixes it.
It looks like maybe this is a bug in LW’s support for uploaded images?
At my first attempt to upload the images I just drag-and-dropped the image files to the post, without editing file names. But GPT4 saves the images with the file names like this:
DALL·E 2023-10-05 12.12.06 - Illustration in anime style Inside a vast cave, Dr. Ada Worthington, a palaeontologist with brunette hair and a pink bow in it, has an intense gaze a.png
Perhaps LW internally is saving the original file names, causing the problems.
I reuploaded the images with the filenames like 1.png, perhaps it will help.

I could see the illustrations via RSS, but don’t see them here, chrome on mobile.
The link to all pictures is “https://res.cloudinary.com/lesswrong-2-0/image/upload/f_auto″, which does not exist.

That’s intentional (makes sense in the context).
