“Refuse to work” doesn’t mean that you have to sit idly at work. You can still advocate for change while there, and if you advocate effectively enough, either they will address your concerns, or they will fire you.

It’s likely that Anthropic can’t actually monitor what western governments are doing with Claude given they’re served through channels like Amazon GovCloud. Russia, Iran, and China are stuck with consumer channels because of sanctions.
