Thanks for this post! I am a beef producer and I’m not a fan of the commercial milk industry. One reason pasture access may be getting worse (if it is) is because the dairy industry has shifted its center of gravity to the desert southwest where the climate is hostile to cattle. It is easier to manage feed, waste, etc., in a very dry climate. But there is little acceptable forage and there are many days where it is much too hot for bos taurus. If anyone has questions about raising cattle ask.
