I am upvoting this as I want to support you personally for speaking up, but I am incredibly puzzled at the amount of resistance you feel to just posting the whole thing on LW? Your post reads to me perfectly fine, is pointing to a real thing, and while I think the reason I would not recommend a fully hippie approach (due to a lot of bad attractor states and memes that can serve as semantic stop signs), it seems clear to me that no good alignment work can be done by people who are unhappy or do not feel positive emotions, and that the best work would come from a very holistic view which includes understanding of nature and our place within it, and understanding of love, and its part of us. I am perhaps going around very different groups of “rationalists,” but the above would not be considered outside of the Overton window, at least in my group. Perhaps you should come and hang out with PIBBSS-y people more :)
