What does AoE and EoD mean?
Anywhere on Earth and End of Day. It’s basically the last time at which the clock changes to the next day anywhere on earth.
I thought Anywhere on Earth is the last time at which the clock changes to the next day anywhere on earth, and End of Day is just by the end of the day in whichever time zone you’re in?
Maybe “EoD” is then redundant. To my eyes, though, it disambiguates “AoE,” as in the Wikipedia quotes. When I google “AoE” by itself, I get information on the video game Age of Empires. When I google the phrase “EoD AoE,” I instead get explainers of Anywhere on Earth deadlines.
In any case, I’ll link an explainer to the AoE usages in the post.
Hey! Do you know when the outcome notifications for the November 2026 Iliad Intensive will be out? (Just for visa planning purposes)
Also, are we supposed to get an email that our application has been successfully submitted? I did not receive anything, and I am wondering if my application came through
We notify people about their application outcome within 2 weeks of the deadline (for deadline see our website). The November Intensive deadline is the 28 September.
There was a bug with out email confirmation triggering. This should now be fixed. If you have any questions about your application please email admissions@iliad.ac
Are the applications rolling?, meaning, should I apply later if I expect my resume to be stronger later, or is applying early preferred?
We’ll do early admits for strong candidates. But if you think your resume will become materially stronger closer to the program you’re interested in, it’s also fine to wait a bit and apply closer to the deadline.
This might be a really dumb question. But just to get an idea, about how many words you are looking for (or are typical of) in your applications for the first three questions about the motivation to apply to this programme, career aspirations and the difficult math concepts that the applicant has encountered. See, why I am asking is because these questions can be interpreted as quite open-ended, so i just want to make sure i am weighing my expectations right here.
I am interested in applying for the Intensive programs. Would there be visa sponsorship if I am applying from outside the UK?
In the past we have created Letters of Invitation that can help with border controls. But these are not guarantees.
Unfortunately, we can not offer visas or legal advice at this point.
Reapplied to the Intensive(s) since there’s been some further ones announced, if there is any confusion. Any info on how far in advance of an Intensive we’d hear back?
We inform people about their Intensive application within 2 weeks after the deadline.
A decision on one Intensive does not determine the decision for future Iliad programs (other Intensives) if you applied to multiple.
