If people are biological computers and simulation can’t spring up new consciousness, doesn’t that mean that a baby can’t have a conciouness? In a way baby isn’t meant to simulate but I do think that the internal world shouldn’t be designated as illusory. That is we don’t need or ask for detailed brainstate histories of babies to designate them as conscious.
