Do you have a Fermi calculation on the probability of it working? I’d be interested, even though I’m in that “there are plenty of other things one can do with money” group.
I don’t understand the “no one is interested” ones. Wouldn’t they get interested once the amount of money in the trust keeping you frozen exceeds the cost of reviving you?
The “it’s too expensive” one is similar, although it could be expensive enough that nobody is willing to let money gather in a trust long enough to pay for it.
If cryonics becomes illegal, wouldn’t they just move the bodies to somewhere where it’s still legal?

I don’t expect that money to grow much. We’re taking out 1% each year for maintenance, so unless the real return is consistently a good bit higher the money doesn’t grow much if at all.

This is expensive, moving bodies away might be illegal, most other countries are less stable. But yes, it might well be prohibited in a way that has basically no effect.

I’ve been collecting various Fermi calculations into a Google Doc.
