This might be a place to start—a definition of geekdom. But absent one...
rationalist ideas, even as they are disparaged as weird by the first waves of media, will be far more quickly adopted by enclaves of the powerful than one might expect. Or might be healthy for anyone involved.
Too fast, too fast, slow down! You think early movements (or this movement) (might) move too fast? (It might be useful to distinguish speed and acceleration here—slam on the breaks hard, and you lurch forward.)
