I just want to point out that it’s probably not good to use this as basis to see if LessWrong improves performance in these games, because the strategy I submitted (and I suspect some other people) wasn’t the best I could think of, it was just cute and simple. I did it because I got the feeling that this tournament was for fun, not for real competition or rationality measurement.

Yes, but if I tried my best, I think (or at least that’s how the hypothesis would go) that I would do better than an average control group person who was trying their best.
