Academic and anti-transhumanist, anti-libertarian, democratic socialist Dale Carrico is in full flow against Eliezer’s essay, Competent Elites. The comments have the new (to me) tidbit that the aforementioned essay and this one on IQ are not present in Rationality: From AI to Zombies (a base motive is, of course, attributed).
There are things one could criticize about that EY’s article. Cconcidentally I did it in this Open Thread before reading your comment (what EY observed may be specific for IT elites but unusual for rich people in general).
However the linked critique is… a boring rant. It doesn’t contain much more information than “I disagree”.
Nope. (I have replaced the far-right political jargon with a more mainstream descriptor.)
Edit: Someone has downvoted this. It’s pretty pointless to take umbrage at this happening to an anonymous account, but I would like to know what exactly the downvoter finds objectionable.

If you are not familiar with Carrico’s blog and writing style, this is a feature, not a bug.
Looks like a misfeature.
Too much personal attitude to the Yudkowski’s piece in question makes this full flow hard to take seriously.
Oh, that blog is sometimes quite fun. In this particular case he’s saying many of the things I would love to say about that essay too.
Welcome back AdvancedAtheist (I guess).
