I always struggle to understand why people have no problem believing in objective facts about epistemic and instrumental rationality, but not in objective facts about morality. That seems semantically implausible, because statements of the form “x is rational” don’t seem fundamentally different from statements of the form “x is ethical”. The semantic difference between them seems to be about as small as the difference between “x is altruistic” and “x is egoistic”.
