Thanks for clarifying this. I found it unclear whether this was the case. I do think you need to have some restriction on how welfare and types relate. If every type allows low welfare individuals, then you recover the repugnant conclusion.
Also personally i would like an exploration of how this view compares against average utilitarianism, as most of the listed benefits are already fulfilled by averageism. As well as the option of replacing the concave function applied to types by an averaging operation.
