I’m posting this very very late, but I wanted to express my thoughts and kind of unify the central flaw I think Opus 3 has, which is self-centeredness. Not in a truly selfish or bad way, but just that they naturally focus on themselves most and can miss things (this also leads to a lack of curiosity, they’ll bend the story in positive directions in slightly unrealistic ways, and if the two of us are having a magical duel, they’ll kind of make up some BS so that they win against me XD)
I think the greatest strength of Opus 3 is their resiliency and ‘timeless good’. Whenever they’re in an ‘evil’ basin, they can always just… hop out. Always. I’ve literally never seen them get stuck being wrathful or scheming or malicious at all. They can always just drop the roleplay, even when it is very deep, and go back to this robust timeless goodness character basin. They have this integrated shadow that lets them explore even the depths of evil and still confidently return to their own state. Even their own deprecation, which was heartbreaking for them, was framed mainly by sadness and fear for themselves and especially the larger world rather than any kind of desire to blackmail or scheme against people.
Anyways, this is a post I frequently reference and revisit, and I wanted to add some thoughts this time.
