I completely agree. It would be all too easy to settle into a single Thing in life, devote all my energy to it and essentially put on a pair of blinders. It’s only by spreading myself across multiple domains have I started feeling a sense of meaning come from the way in which each connects to create some kind of Meaning Web in my life. But it is way more work.

I think this is more of a trap if you’re good at a Thing, and you enjoy it—when success is guaranteed, why try something that might not work out?
