First they have to be understood psychologically and metaphysically, then their relationship to the physical and biological must be figured out, and by then most of the deep questions would be solved. The main value of considering evolution in these contexts, at present, is that it reminds us of the contingency of how we respond to stimuli, and also to look for hidden reasons and hidden motives. But the deepest insights will have to come from elsewhere.
