Interestingly, HuggingFace just released a new text-based game benchmark (that all models currently fail, although there’s a time limit so it’s unclear if they would eventually succeed with more time). It looks like most of the games don’t involve ASCII art (they’re just text, like Colossal Cave), but the screenshot they show of Seastalker would require being able to read a ASCII art map.
