By far the most important reason people hate big pharma is its reputation for its efforts to keep prices higher for longer on existing drug classes. If AI starts producing a slew of genuinely innovative new drugs and doesn’t charge an arm and a leg for them, I think people will view that in a much more positive light.
Big Pharma bakes miracles like pies and it’s one of the most hated industries in US. I would worry about nascent superpersuasion/propaganda instead.
