Not that much. I don’t understand what the actual experiment is, and in particular how much it is showing that we got algorithms (even opaquely) out of a fruit fly connectome. In any case, IIUC by all descriptions, it doesn’t really hit at the challenge of simulating neurons well enough that the simulated brain could learn anything. That’s what I expect to be difficult and to be needed for really useful simulations.
