Like, I often get reactions when I try to explain it as though claiming the thing is powerful is thereby working for the enemy; as if there’s an implicit belief that yes, it’s obviously powerful in the terrain, but admitting it would grant the social power that the creators want, or something. People call the AI surge a bubble as if believing it is is load-bearing for them somehow. There’s more to this than just unimpressed and disappointed
