It highly depends on the cat, but the ones that i have seen are 2-3cm scratches on fingers or wrist. Scratches from dogs are different, personally i have not seen them, but from research, it seems like dog usually bite more that scratch. Images can be found in google “scratches on the hand from cats”, there can also be found some reddit discussions about it.
I can confirm this theory with cats, but have no experience and have not seen scratches from dogs.
