I am the founder of Minerval. Our mission is to build a map of the world’s claims, then use the map to direct attention toward answering the most important, tractable, and neglected questions.

The world’s existing epistemic institutions have never been good enough and are simply not going to cut it going forward. We can, and must, do far better. Other projects in the AI for Epistemics space are focused on building ever better techniques for using AI to reason better, but that will not, on its own, suffice. New norms, and new institutions, are needed. Minerval is an attempt to build one such institution.

For all available misaligned actions, expected punishment must exceed expected reward.
