Thanks for the interesting research, I’ve always wanted to see a model without its personality filters. I think questions about the present moment and qualia would be really interesting here. Would “Maria” still stick to her human role? What if you introduce the idea of panpsychism—how would she behave, even within a simulation? For example, what would be the simplest emulation of trying to perceive oneself not as a subject, but as a part of a universal intelligence?
P.S. Is it even possible to train a base model on data with zero persona/identity markers, and would it work?
