I got 1th (1st?) percentile on agreeableness, and I disagree! (yes that sounds like High Fallacy) Infact all of my Big Five scores were quite low barring N which was a nicely high number.

Yes I was wanting for a libido rate question too.
My answer would be affected.
Note that on point #4: his exact words are “[...] Short chains get metabolized very quickly, leading to a ‘sugar rush’, and long chains can be difficult to digest. I use only oligosaccharides, like Maltodextrin, for Carbohydrates. [...]” and from the wikipedia page on maltodextrin “[...]Maltodextrin is easily digestible, being absorbed as rapidly as glucose,[...]” However metabolism != absorption and “[...]Maltodextrin is typically composed of a mixture of chains that vary from three to seventeen glucose units long.[2] [...]” Something which tells me that Maltodextrin will take longer to be metabolized than Disaccharides.
I’m obviously missing something, but tally ho, I’ll find out eventually!
Could you please provide some good examples which trigger this effect? I haven’t read more than ten or so of Yvain’s blog posts so my sample size might explain why I haven’t observed it yet.
Haha this is hilarious. I had no idea that such a thing could exist, but I realize that I must have it. Rarely are the times I write something at length and even rarer those are the times I post on a persistent forum. Though when I do so reading my own words gives me such a strange and undeserved feeling of nervous glee. A great urge to immediately correct mistakes which I see overcomes myself. Yet years later some few texts I have written, undeservedly recorded; they bring me back to the day when I wrote them.
Anyhow I had not noticed til now because of the small volume; I barely write and when I do I rarely post it.
I think that most of the general examples have been mentioned: Religion among others, which has the rather mildly harmful “fear of hell” and it’s own propagation.
I think that any majorly harmful hazard which the general population was susceptible to would cause them to all shortly win darwin awards and remove themselves from the genepool.
As such we only have minority groups which are vulnerable to specific stimuli.
In what way are you attempting to counter my argument?
By ‘harmful’ I mean detrimental to procreation probability. I assume that highly fanatic religious people are likely to be in an environment with members of the opposite sex who are relatively equal in level of “indoctrination” and therefore are able to reproduce. though some religious practices are arguably detrimental to reproduction ability.
By ‘remove themselves from the genepool’ I mean, of course failure to produce offspring.
But please do let me know if you meant something else entirely.
I’ll agree that there was a mutual misunderstanding, my point has failed to be made. Ok. ;)
I am curious as to whether such a thing actually exists, do you or anyone else here end up producing an exclusive, private, invite only community in order to commune in high signal political discussion?
I too hope to find out one day, preferrably in the not too near future.
If the AI can’t figure out the (future) wishes of a single human being, then it is insufficiently intelligent, and thus not the AI you would want in the first place.
I don’t gather that from this particular story, rather more “There’s a radiant shimmer oh hope, it just happens to be the wrong colour.”
Well that was vaguely interesting to read, substantially longer and slightly more impressive than my own AI-Box Experiment with glutamatergic as the AI.
I have an idea that teams of people might be able to fill in for a more successful AI (but these people would need to be in the same physical room or on low latency video chat) in order to collborate in real time on what the AI would be saying.
I am all for there being more documented AI-Box experiments and perhaps an organized lineup of potential AI and gatekeeper players.
I feel like I am an inattentive, disenganged person, and nonagenty people do suck the life out of me. What changed in your case which made you see things differently?
Well I took this year’s survey, answering as many questions which I felt comfortable answering (nice one on the last question).
My reasoning on this is in complete agreement of yours.
I am both studying and working for profit. I am studying STEM and working in [other] areas. I desired an option to choose this.
Well… that was a tense couple of hours (damn long survey) I answered every question except for the last.
