What is preventing the pope from going to Gaza personally, spearheading the food supply and demanding the humanitarian aid to go through?
He could threaten fasting, livestream the entire thing, and, in case of his death, plead for humanitarian aid (and no retaliation to whichever side killed him) to go through as his postmortem request.
He could, reasonably and singlehandedly, force west’s horrible moral failing of Gaza to end.
I have noticed that people consistently virtue signal judgement torwards something they do themselves, persumably iether because they feel guilt and want to compensate, or to hide from scrutiny over that specific personal flaw.
This generalised very broadly with all people I’ve interacted with.
From a person showing symptoms of schizophrenia calling people crazy, gossipers telling me how others are terrible gossipers, abusers claiming they hate abusers, racists claiming they hate racism in the culture they live in, stupid people preferring to insult others as stupid, lazy people calling out others for not working hard enough, disloyal people bandwagoning on decrying infidelity…
It just goes on and on. EDIT(I wrote the probability statement wrong): I estimate it being correct in 90+% of interactions.
If someone virtue signals judgement, they are very likely guilty of the same.
