I have found AIS to be an underexplored idea in the “normie” leftist spaces online. Most people, on both the right and left, don’t understand LLMs, and the left seems to reason as follows: “It’s a huge Silicon Valley psyop.” I think leftists could be persuaded to take on some productive form of AIS advocacy (i.e. not anti-data center rhetoric), perhaps along traditional leftist value axes like labor concerns. However, it would take a targeted campaign involving major leftist media personalities working alongside sympathetic politicians. I think tracking the issue is the first step toward developing such a campaign.
