I like the sentiment but I rarely go back to read things I already read. Instead I seek out new things that say similar things in different ways.
A great example of this in my life comes from Zen books. Most of them say the same thing (there’s a half joke that there are only three dharma talks a teacher can give), but in different ways. Sometimes the way it’s said and where I am connect, so it’s proven for me a good strategy to keep hearing similar teaching in new ways.
