Basically, I believe that physical existence and mathematical existence are different things, but we can also define a common interface that both kinds of objects fulfil, which is why we are tempted to use a common word. Unfortunately, this definition of existence becomes reified and given ontological existence, when there are at least two distinct types that need to be considered separately.
