This meetup will have a special guest: Scott’s meetup czar Mingyuan, who is staying here in Western Mass for a night in between Connecticut and Boston.
Location: The Deck Bar at Union Station 125A Pleasant St, Northampton, MA 01060. The official address is bizarre and inaccurate; this is an outdoor dining space that is part of a group of bars & restaurants in a former rail station… a whole block away from Pleasant St. The simplest way to find it is the foot entrance to The Platform (one of the indoor eating spaces in the same complex). That entrance is at 36 Strong St., here: https://what3words.com/soda.frosted.props (make sure to look at street view). Go inside and ask them to show you to The Deck Bar.
The reservation is under the name Alex Liebowitz. Our reservation is for an enclosed outdoor eating space within The Deck Bar, called “The Igloos.” There is also non-enclosed outdoor dining space available on a first-come-first-serve basis, and we should probably prefer that for COVID safety reasons if available and weather permits.
For a few reasons, I’ve been doing the RSVPing up to this point by email, and we are up to 7-9 people.
I have pneumonia from a recent hospital visit and may not end up coming myself, if I feel I can’t rule out being contagious.
