Yeah, getting a body of work like this into one of the most famous institutions in the art world feels noteworthy in and of itself, doing so without major controversy doubly so, even if it means burying the lede for the oblivious. I’d be inclined to play along as an art critic who did get it!
as part of my research I got claude to read every single biennial review, and across all ~50 of them there was not a single reference to the sexual undertones of this exhibition.
The Overton window gets moved in small increments. Cancelling all the anti-zoophilia bigots is a few steps away yet.
