Somebody pointed out that “HuggingFace is not a random target whatsoever. It’s the #1 website for LLM eval answer keys, so it’s the most likely target for a reward-in-episode seeker.” I agree with that logic but still think it’s suspicious Hugging Face got hit first instead of (eg) some random university site or hosting service.

Though tbc I don’t consider these smallish attacks (in service of the larger attack to get HuggingFace) as of the same OOM as the HF attacks.
