Whew. I think my next post is going to need to work on demolishing the self-applied mind projection fallacy. A massive amount of popular psychology (and not a small amount of actual psychology) is based on a flawed model of how our minds work, and you have to dismantle that before you can see how it really works. It’s about as big of a leap as quantum mechanics is, really, in the sense that it utterly makes no sense to our intuitions about the classical world.
Do you plan to substitute the flawed model with whatever model the ‘Savant/Speculator distinction’ comes from? If so, perhaps consider another post explaining and validating said system first? Google seems unwilling to tell me what on earth you are talking about. Book? Paper? Link of some kind?
