A lot of this rings true for me as well. I knew that I’d find working alone to be a challenge, but I’ve been managing ok at that overall. I had hoped to transition to working with a team, at least remotely, but none of my applications for that have worked out so far.
I also find working in physical proximity to someone else who is also working to be quite helpful in avoiding akrasia, but I chose to move away from the Bay Area up to Grass Valley so that’s not the easiest thing to find.
