That’s what you get when you finally grasp how much pointless pain, misery, risk, death there is in the world; just how much good could be done if everyone would get their act together; just how little anyone seems to care.

Thanks for this comment. Some of what I want to write about is “harsh reality” stuff—I don’t believe we can start fixing things until we understand how the world really works. But I must be careful to write it in a way that doesn’t damage anyone’s faith in humanity.
