Each block, corresponding to a single trial, is the population raster for ν = 128 units. On each trial there are several dark bands, which constitute bursts of network activity sometimes called “up states.” Up state epochs vary across trials, indicating they are not locked to the stimulus.
Did you have an aesthetic goal of making them “seem similar”? (I’m wonder how hard to update on the apparent similarities.)
