The difference is actually hardly trivial; “H20” suggests there is a molecule made from 20 connected hydrogen atoms! The missing subscript doesn’t help (isn’t there a way to make subscript the number?). Of course I know it wasn’t deliberate, and I guess no reader would interpret is as anything else but “water”. For the sake of completion I would appreciate an edit, though.
