Fwiw, I’m trying to address this in a different context (economics/policy) at The Unjournal (Unjournal.org). I think I have some sense of how to make things better there, and what some of the blockers are.
Hopefully some of the insights and tools will carry over/be relevant to this context as well, and we can leverage extend what has worked.
Yes, I’m excited to see what we can learn David’s experience, especially given the incentive designer’s insight that he brings to this.
We also, collectively, have some experience with the ILIAD conferences which was a precursor experimenting with alternative compensation mechanisms. See Proceedings of ILIAD: Lessons and Progress for some analysis of that project.
