Has anyone on LessWrong noticed this new Elon Musk interview yet? Even through the intermediation of the reporter he seems to convey the gist of the concepts of existential risk, the Fermi paradox, and the great filter and simulation arguments.
This reporter (Ross Andersen) also wrote a piece on Bostrom. So I’m gonna guess that it’s not about Elon Musk getting things through Ross, but rather Ross writing what he wanted to write. In short, yay Ross Andersen.
He seems to be interested in existential risks (although I am unfamiliar with what exactly being on the advisory board of this organization entails). More articles by the same author are available here, here and here
