Am I correct in thinking that this same argument also applies to an updateful decision theory with logico-causal counterfactuals? Naively, you’ll still update to think X is true with 99% probability, and then evaluate your logical impact on all your copies, for 99% of which the calculator was right (whether X is true or false). If so, why the focus on EDT? It seems like an argument against updatefulness in general.
