I agree that C2PA isn’t a watermark, but they do state that all videos have C2PA metadata attached. I think stenographic approaches like Google’s SynthID are a positive next step, but unclear if OpenAi are using anything like that currently.
If they lie about things that are easy to verify, how much should we trust them about things that are difficult to verify?
