Holden’s posts on writing and research (this one, The Wicked Problem Experience and Useful Vices for Wicked Problems) have been the most useful posts for me from Cold Takes and been directly applicable to things I’ve worked on. For instance the Wicked Problem Experience was published soon after I wrote a post about the discovery of laws of nature, and resonated with and validated some of how I approached and worked on that.
