I really like taking the “making beliefs pay rent” anaolgy further. You thinking of your score as “how much rent you get payed” and even if you have a bunch of beliefs that are 6 months back on their payments, having a single tenant that pays you triple the cost of rent, on time, every month, has the potential to make you score high.
That line of thinking also opens the idea that a belief can do worse than not pay rent, it can vandalise your apartment complex and take up a lot of your time and attention with the problems it causes.
