Just Ban Superintelligence. The law has vague stuff in it all the time, e.g. pornography: “you know it when you see it.” Maybe we can just ban Superintelligent AI. The AI companies will then all scrub the word “superintelligence” from their websites, and say how they’ve “pivoted to making agentic AI tools” or whatever, and proceed just as usual… but still, I think that would be a significant improvement over the status quo.
