Last time we used cryonics as a kick-off point for discussion—and discuss we did.
Some of us were deeper into EA than others, but we overall expressed interest in getting to know more about it. Leon will give a short presentation about Effective Altruism. He’ll start with the historical & philosophical background of the movement, and continue with the evolution towards an increased focus on Longtermism and AI safety and also, of course, shrimp. EA and Rationality are, in some ways, very similar ideas, and I hope we’ll have a lot to talk about. Please also consider joining if you are unfamiliar with EA or have major disagreements with it. This makes for the best discussions!
