I have progressively become happier as a person over the last decade. So much so that my wife and close friends have asked me what changed.
I couldn’t quite put to words what was it that I was doing differently. Till I read this passage.
Over the years I stopped avoiding my feelings, and started feeling them. Thinking about the why, what’s next. Both when I am down, and when I am up.
That paired with being more present, instead of thinking about distant future, has helped me appreciate so much more of my own life!
