Oxford Rationalish—Sept Pub

Oxford Rationalish monthly-ish pub social! Meet interesting people, chat interesting chat.

This’ll likely be a relatively quiet one: it’s summer, I’m advertising it quite late and the big ACX meet will be next month. But come by if that sounds nice

🙂

Normally we just chat about whatever comes up. Past topics of conversation have included AI alignment, what you’d tell your past or future self, collaborative disagreement, calibrating personal predictions (how to measure and improve your own predictions), decision theory (Newcomb’s paradox, Parfit’s hitchhiker, etc), miscellaneous tech stuff (web3, GPT3, etc), animal husbandry (how to flip a goat, and why), and much much more.

We’ll be in the room round the back, with a sign

🙂
