Voted down for the argument that either time in the community or active participation in ways that people reward (which is what karma actually indicates) are prerequisites for making a rational argument, and furthermore for utterly failing to address that argument.

Voted down for lacking a clue.
There’s no “rational argument” to have a prerequisite for, it’s just an extreme case of a sense of entitlement.
This is a community of people who seem to have found their own reasons to stick around. This guy shows up at a party and after being here for 10 minutes, decides to lecture everyone on how boring and no fun they are. “I have arrived, so it’s time for you people to shape up!” You may find that charming behavior, but I find it quite cheeky.
When in Rome, curse the Romans for being Romans. Good luck with that.
And yet, you still consistently fail to actually address the arguments presented. At least here you actually made a counter-claim, though (that the OP has no argument and merely has a sense of entitlement). You don’t back it up with anything, whereas the OP did actually make arguments, but at least you made a claim.
So you don’t disagree that your top-level comment should have been voted down? As far as I can tell, the total content of it was “You’re a newbie (and I’m not), and therefore I’m right and you’re wrong”. Or do you not actually feel that is an adequate reason to dismiss what somebody has to say, even in the context of a request regarding community behavior?
If dhasenan had actually been lurking on the site for the last five years and merely been an extremely infrequent commenter, would that make what they say more valid than what you say?

So it seems. Maybe you’ll have more luck with a third bite at the apple.
I’m a pretty surly and anti social fellow and all, but even I don’t show up at some long running social gathering and argue that everyone there should stop doing what they want, and do what I want them to do instead.
50 Karma?
Here’s my counter “request”: spend some time on the list before lecturing people on how to behave.
