So I’m quite aware of the difference between someone who works with genes every day, and someone who has a deep understanding of, ahem, the structure of evolutionary theory. Now I’m sure that you can interpret linkage disequilibria statistics better than I can, but since you refer to selfish genes as “Dawkins’s” theory, I do wonder how much you know about the history of mathematical evolutionary theory.
